Signs of Spring in the Castro

Here are some of the first signs of Spring I noticed around the Castro:

Flowers outside

Oranges growing in our neighbor's yard

Watering can in our yard

Prominent window display featuring a
vagina made out of fabric crab claws and a dream catcher

San Francisco is hilarious.

Breaking News: Weather NOT Terrible in San Francisco!

Unlike anything I've seen in recent memory, the weather in San Francisco was NOT terrible this weekend!
Victory!

Sweet, Sweet Sunshine!

To celebrate, Lee and I went to Ghirardelli Square where I was reunited with my first love:

 The Ghirardelli Sundae!!!

Lee looks less enthusiastic, but don't be fooled; he loved it :)

Walton's Reunion 2010

I went to Chico last weekend for our camp reunion! I had a non-camp friend (you know the type) ask me, "How can it be a reunion if you see all of those people every weekend?"  My response was that I only see MOST of them every weekend.
Here we go:

Lee's envelop containing his contract

Nicole's reaction to the champagne/the quality of the room

Lee's reenactment of the champagne exploding on his face

Yearbooks!

Love!

"I hope there's a Panamas in HELL!"

All this while listening to country music

When not baking, Lauren dreams of being a Rodeo Queen

Mr. B's compost solution

Betty's Authentic Mexican Food?  DOUBTFUL, Betty.  VERY doubtful.

Vintage Macaroni and Cheese Picnics?!?

As a self appointed Mac and Cheese expert, aficionado, and addict, I feel I would be doing the world a disservice if I did not alert everyone to my most recent and exciting Mac and Cheese discovery.  Let me preface this announcement by saying that I really love Macaroni and Cheese, picnics, and any flare with a vintage feel.

Annie's Homegrown (makers of THE BEST mac and cheese in a box) is running a terrific promotion through the end of April.  If you buy ONE (just one!) Annie's Homegrown or Annie's Naturals product you can access a free (FREE!) Inspired Picnic Guide (with a cute, vintage feel) from Memorable Mealtimes!
